Application Deadlines for the 2025-26 Academic Cycle
- We only accept applications for Fall quarter admission.
- We DO NOT accept applications for Winter or Spring quarter admission.
Priority Deadline: December 15, 2024 (for full consideration for financial aid).
General Deadline: January 15, 2025.
Space Available Deadline: April 1, 2025. Applicants who miss the General Deadline and meet the Space Available Deadline are not guaranteed to have their application reviewed by the graduate program. Their application will be reviewed only if the graduate program determines there is additional space available after reviewing Priority and General Deadline applicants.
Domestic PhD applicants: The Dean’s Office is happy to again offer application fee waivers for domestic PhD applicants through the COE Equity Program! This program’s goal continues to be 1) to reduce the financial burden of the application fee and 2) to increase the number of applications submitted, particularly from diverse and URM populations.
COE Equity Program Fee Waiver Eligibility
- Fee waiver applicants must seek Fall 2025 admission to a PhD program administered by the College of Engineering. Applicants for MS programs are not eligible for a fee waiver through this program.
- Only US citizens or current permanent residents are eligible to receive a fee waiver through this program.
- Applicants who have participated in other Graduate Preparation Programs listed here already qualify for a fee waiver through that program. In these cases, a COE Equity will not provide a waiver.
Details About the Fee Waiver Request Form
- Please refer applicants to the COE Equity Program website to access the fee waiver request form: https://engineering.ucdavis.edu/graduate-students/admissions/coe-equity-program
- Applicants will need to provide brief demographic information, as well as provide short responses to two questions.
- Those who qualify for a fee waiver will receive an email with directions on how to use the waiver.
